President of the Serbian Unity Congress meets President of the Republic of Srpska

The President of the Republic of Srpska, Dr. Rajko Kuzmanovic, met with Mrs. Mirjana Samardzija, President of the Serbian Unity Congress, and Mrs. Slavka Draskovic, Director of the Belgrade office.

Mrs. Samardzija presented the programs, aims, plans and activities of the organization to the President.

She pointed out that the representatives of the Serbian Unity Congress are interested and engaged in an effort to establish business connections between companies in the Republic of Srpska and the United States. They agreed that establishing and defining strategies for a more efficient economic, cultural and educational collaboration is needed between the Republic of Srpska and the Serbian American community.

Serbian Unity Congress representatives, the respective Ministries, the Academy of Science and Art and both universities in the Republic of Srpska support the cooperation on research and development.

Discussion of strategies to encourage students, professors, and researchers to network between the Republic of Srpska and the United States made up a substantial portion of the meeting.
