There is probably no more important task for the S.U.C. than in working to create a better understanding in the public about the true goals and aspirations of Serbs. Our plan will focus on getting the word out in Washington, (Congress and the White House)concerning the continuing misperception of Serbs, as well as the very positive steps being taken in the Serbian lands by its leaders to improve the quality of life for its citizens. In addition, the S.U.C. will begin presenting an annual award to prominent persons who recognize the important role played by Serbs worldwide.
Serbian Unity Congress is the only Serbian American organization which regularly makes trips to Washington, DC. Our Serbian Unity Congress representatives are continually establishing and expanding communications with key Administration officials, both in the State Department and the National Security Council, and with many members of the US Congress. We know that it is vital to the Serbian people that our point of view and accurate information be consistently made available to the policy makers and the national media.

Saint Sava Literary Contest
Promoting and teaching our young generation of moral values of our ancestors.

The S.U.C. is heading a scholarship program aimed at Serbian youth. Members would "adopt a school" in the Homeland for a three year period. Students would learn about the importance of St. Sava and participate in an essay contest dealing with that subject. One student would be chosen each year as the award winner.

The S.U.C. is underwriting the cost to write and produce a business handbook for small and medium sized companies to better understand commonly-accepted business practices. The S.U.C. is partnering with the Yugoslav Chamber of Commerce on this project.

Concerned and involved Serbs in the Diaspora should have the right to obtain Yugoslav citizenship, vote in elections and generally participate in the rebuilding of the nation. The S.U.C. is taking a leadership role in working with other Serb organizations throughout the world to secure these rights.

Preserver and promote cultural treasures.

The goal of the BLAGO Fund is to preserve and promote Serbian treasures in a way that ties together the past, present and future. It has two clear objectives.
The first is to record, archive and conserve the most vulnerable products of our culture in a systematic and organized way and to disseminate this information to specialists and the general public alike.
The second is to encourage and support the development of exceptional Serbian talent.

Primary aim is to support and promote all endeavors, individual or institutional, that lead to the rebuilding of education in the Serbian lands. A subsidiary aim is to assist talented young Serbian men and women to pursue their education in this country, in the hope that they will benefit from America's rich ethnic diversity, its high quality of science and technology, its lively and variegated culture, and, not least, its tolerance and generous "habits of the heart."

Posle 3 godine medjunarodne uprave, Kosovo i Metohija danas predstavljaju sramotu i crnu stranu evropske hriscanske civilizacije. Posle NATO agresije na Srbiju i Crnu Goru proleca 1999. godine ovaj deo srpske zemlje predat je na upravljanje vojnicima NATO-a i vodjama albanskih terorista i albanske mafije.
Teritorija Kosova i Metohije sa hiljadama srpskih crkvica i hramova i desetinama velikih pravoslavnih manastira je jedno od najvecih spomenika hriscanstva na svetu. Danas je veliki deo njih potpuno razoren a u njima nema mnogo zivota i came propadajuci u zemlji zatrovanoj uranijumskim oruzjem, dok su sveti predmeti iz crkava postali prodajni rekviziti svetskog crnog trzista.

The "Cry for help" fund has been established in response to the growing needs that have resulted from NATO bombing in 1999 against Yugoslavia. Its specific focus is on the welfare of young chidren and their mothers.
S.U.C. has been able to identify a number of opportunities for cost-effective acquisition of most needed goods (medical equipment, medication), fast delivery and reliable distribution on the ground.
